Who Should Attend
You will find the Management of Managers program most beneficial if you are a mid- or senior-level manager who is responsible for planning and directing the daily operations of an organizational unit, or whose success depends upon working with other managers or a professional staff. Participants generally have three to eight years of managerial experience.
Effective leaders need multiple skills to allow for flexibility in successfully managing and leading in diverse situations. The Management of Managers program provides an integrated leadership framework that will enable the participant to identify and formulate value-creating opportunities. Participants will develop an understanding of the interplay between leadership competencies and their organizational culture and strategy. You will understand the challenges of leadership at three levels:
- Individual leadership effectiveness
- Organization culture
- Organization outcomes
Before your arrival, you will be asked to complete a Best-Self Feedback exercise, and distribute a similar assessment to others who are familiar with your work both inside and outside your organization. The results of this information will provide insight into your leadership values and effectiveness, and will form the basis for the personalized action plan you will develop during the program.
Another unique feature of the program is a post-program follow-up discussion, where participants will have an opportunity to participate in a facilitated discussion on the progress of their personal action agendas. Opportunities for individual consultation with the program faculty regarding your Best-Self Feedback exercise are also available.
Note: You are advised to register at least five weeks in advance of the program start date in order to allow enough lead time for the completion of the feedback exercise.
