Course in Animation 13 Week Intensive
Students can expect an intensive, hands-on experience, bringing drawings, objects and images to life in both narrative and experimental contexts. Each student works from their own individual computer workstation within the VCA Animation Studio.
Dates
Classes are held on Monday and Thursday evenings, 6pm to 9pm and some weekends. Also included are four animation-focused Saturday workshops: two of which will include animation industry guest speakers, plus two intensive practice based sessions.
Objectives and Structure
The course is designed for beginners and for people wishing to further develop existing skills. The small class size enables participants to work within a wide range of studio based practice methodologies and skill levels. Students will be exposed to techniques and materials, animation specific equipment and software. Through planned exercises and an individual project, students will gain a foundation of the principles and practices of animation production.
