Course in Education and Training - Skills Programme in Moderation


Certification

Upon successful completion of the programme, learners will receive an ETDP SETA Statement of Results outlining the unit standard covered in Moderation and credits achieved. All competent moderators must obtain a Statement of Results from the ETDP SETA and then register with one or more SETAs in their field of expertise before moderating assessments.


Entry Requirements

  • Learners must have previous assessment experience
  • Competency in the unit standard: 115753: “Conduct outcomes-based assessment.”
  • It is recommended that candidates should have achieved unit standard: 115755: “Design and develop outcomes-based assessments” before attempting this unit standard.



Course Duration

The programme duration is 32 hours and the tuition is face-to-face. This excludes time to complete assignments, research and self-study. Each Damelin campus has a different tuition schedule. Programmes are offered during the week, in the evenings, or on Saturdays.


Course Intro

Successful learners who have achieved this unit standard will be able to moderate assessments in accordance with quality assurance requirements in a fair, valid and reliable manner. The learner will be required to complete a Portfolio of Evidence to support the competent findings of the assessor. The learner will be supported and guided towards reaching this goal.
