The Berkeley International Study Program (BISP) provides a unique opportunity for visiting international students to take high-quality courses alongside UC Berkeley degree students in a short-term study abroad program for one or two semesters. BISP provides sponsorship and the necessary letter of invitation to obtain a student visa for qualified students, who enroll in courses on a fee-paying basis. We also offer a robust program of activities and support to students who get the much sought-after “Berkeley Experience.”

Each semester, BISP sponsors over 350 visiting international students from all over the world, who enjoy the experience of taking classes at the world-famous UC Berkeley. The Mogao caves are best known of the Chinese Buddhism grottoes, and together with Longmen Grottoes and Yungang Grottoes, are one of the three famous ancient Buddhist sculptural sites of China. As one of the World Heritage sites in China, the caves contain some of the finest examples of Buddhist art spanning a period of 1,000 years. As a volunteer at Mogao caves, you will learn about the history of Mogao Grottoes, and introduce them to worldwide visitors.

AQUAS – Academic qualification for University of Applied Sciences in Germany by IAS College and Designschule Schwerin:

Through AQUAS students from abroad have the possibility to receive the final exam certification „Fachhochschulreife“, which allows to pursue further Bachelor studies at German Universities of Applied Sciences afterwards.

Students can go on studying any subject of choice offered by the University of Applied Sciences.

Our Spanish Language and Culture courses are intended for those students who want to learn Spanish in Alicante. They are offered at all levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for languages (A1-A2-B1-B2-C1-C2).

The main goal of this intensive course is to improve the students’ linguistic competence within an immersion cultural environment and through a communicative methodology in the classroom.

Our courses offer meaningful practice in grammar, vocabulary, oral and written expression, all of it by using real situations and texts.

Monday to Friday from 9:00am a 12:30pm (with a 30-minute break) and from 13:00 to 14:00.

The English ‘Plus’ Course combines our highly popular General English course with an exciting range of cultural and educational subjects such as art, gardening, fashion, drama, screen-printing, photography, environmental studies, media, British culture and creative English.

On Monday afternoons you have a weekly talk and then on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons, you will study the English Plus subject that you have chosen.

Preparatory courses are available to those who have already enrolled onto a Master’s, 1-Year Intensive, or 3-Year Course at Accademia del Lusso. They take place during the months before each academic year starts, usually between July and October.

Preparatory Courses are directed at students who would like to improve their language skills before beginning their subsequent Fashion or Design course at Accademia del Lusso.
