Farah Jones is a Singapore born fashion designer who has been working in the international fashion industry for over 12 years. She has a first class Honors BA Degree in fashion design from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technolgy (RMIT). Farah’s list of professional accomplishments range from designing a wide array of women’s and children’s wear for many new boutiques and large design companies around the world, to managing, buying, marketing and merchandising for retail giants like Esprit, Laura Ashley, Prada, Jean Paul Gaultier and Dolce & Gabbana.

Farah was previously employed by Raffes Design Institute (Shanghai), where she taught Fashion Design and Fashion Production courses to up and coming young designers in the industry. She combines her love for fashion and teaching by taking a hands-on approach to her classes, teaching new and innovative concepts to those who want to be part of the enticing fashion world. We have designed our courses to inspire and challenge you to develop your ceramic knowledge, skills and practice.

Our workshops are equipped with specialist tools and equipment including wheels, spray equipment, a variety of kilns, clays, slips and glazes. North Park University’s pre-professional track for art therapy is a sequence of courses and advising that will give you a solid foundation for your applications to competitive art therapy graduate programs around the country. The pre-art therapy track should accompany a major—most often art or psychology—where you’ll also gain a deeper understanding of the mind and the therapeutic nature of creating art.

Pre-art therapy students are advised by faculty in the Art Department, often Kelly VanderBrug. VanderBrug is an associate professor who earned her BFA degree and BA in art history from Calvin College, and an MFA in painting from Washington University. She’ll talk with you about your particular interests in art therapy, and help you stay on track throughout your program at North Park to make sure you are prepared for your applications and interviews for art therapy school.... Spring, Summer and Fall Semester programs are available.

Students studying for a semester are required to take a minimum of 2 language courses. No previous language study is required.

Students with previous study are given a written and oral placement exam on the first day of classes and placed in the level that corresponds to their proficiency.

Since faculty meet weekly to evaluate students' progress there is flexibility for a student to be advanced should the student's learning have accelerated in the immersive language environment.

Students earn 3 credits for each course (45 contact hours).

The Florence Academy of Russian Art offers you to take its One-Year Course, which can be extended then into the full Three-Year Course. During one academic year, you will go through a step by step program, which will take you from basic to complex. You will be starting by studying simple geometric figures and then finish the year by drawing and painting portraits.
