Description of the Helicopter course

It is aimed for people without previous flying experience who want to fly for sport or entertainment.

This course also is a base for the subsequent acquisition of other ratings as a Commercial Pilot license CPL(H) and other licenses.

Description of the Helicopter course

The main objective of the integrated course CPL / IR (H), is to train the pilot at the level of competence necessary to enable them to safely operate multi-engine helicopters of a single pilot and obtain the Commercial Pilot license with instrumental flight privileges of multi-engine helicopters.

Prerequisites Pass the class 1 medical evaluation Be at least 17 years old Be in possession of the Baccalaureate degree or equivalent Students can start the course without previous experience or as holders of a PPL (H). Students who hold a PPL (H), will be credited as 50% of the corresponding experience, up to a maximum of: 40 hours, of which up to 20 can be instruction in double command, or 50 hours, of which up to 25 can be instruction in double command if the night flight rating has been obtained by helicopter. Description of the Helicopter course

The objective of the integrated course ATPL / IR (H), is to train the pilot at the level of competence necessary to enable them to safely twin-engine helicopters in a single pilot operation and obtain the Commercial Pilot license with attributions of instrumental flight of multi-engine helicopters.

Prerequisites

Students must meet the following requirements:

Pass the class 1 medical evaluation. Be at least 17 years old. Be in possession of the Bachelor degree or equivalent. Students can start the course without previous experience or as holders of a PPL (H). Students who hold a PPL(H), will be credited as 50% of the corresponding experience, up to a maximum of: 40 hours, of which up to 20 can be instruction in double command, or 50 hours, of which up to 25 can be instruction in double command if the night flight rating has been obtained by helicopter. ... This course is designed for the student to gain the necessary skills and experience to work as a commercial helicopter pilot operating multi-engine helicopters under VFR and IFR conditions.

On completing the course, you will receive an EASA CPL-H Commercial Helicopter Pilot´s License entitling you to fly a helicopter as a paid professional. This allows the holder to work as a Pilot in tasks such as passenger transport, security service flights including coast guard, search and rescue, surveillance, fire-fighting, sling operations as well as aerial filming and photography to name but a few.

The Integrated Program will take the student without previous knowledge or experience all the way to the required level of competence to achieve the CPL-H.... [-]

The aim of our Private Pilot License PPL (H) course is to train the student to fly safely and efficiently under Visual Flight Rules either for recreational purposes or as part of commercial pilot training. This course includes everything a new pilot needs to become a Private Helicopter Pilot.

The PPL-H program consists of 112 hours of theory instruction and the following Flight-training:

45:00 hours of flight training in the R22.

Ground school: At the flight school or independent study. On-line instructions are available.

Privileges

These ratings allow you to fly with multi-engine turbine helicopters. The course must also be repeated for those who need to renewal type rating which has expired by more than 3 years.

Pre-requisites

This course can be attended by private and commercial pilots who have at least 70 flight hours as pilot in command or student pilot who is attending the full ATPL course. For the IFR extension of the rating, it is necessary either to have completed the first part of the IR course or already hold an IR certificate on another helicopter.

Privileges

The Flight Instructor Course will lead you to a Qualification which entitles to train students for the Ppl and for Type Rating on Aircraft Single Engine. The Flight Instructor can train Cpl Student Pilots after having flown 200 training hours and can also instruct trainee instructors after they have flown 500 training hours.

Instrumental Rating Instructor can train for the Ifr Part of Modular Courses, Integrated Courses and for Extension on a Multi-Engine Helicopter if he/she holds the tri requisites.

Type Rating Instructor can train for Type Rating Courses on Me Helicopters.

Pre-requisites

For Flight Instructors Candidates: Cpl holders must have 250 helicopter flight hours, of which 100 hours as Pic; Ppl holders must have 200 helicopter flight hours as pic and also must have passed the Cpl or Atpl Theory Exam.... [-]

Privileges

With this course, you will be able to fly according to the regulations of instrumental flight on certified helicopters.

Pre-requisites

This rating can be attended by a private pilot who holds night rating with at least 50 hours of cross-country or a pilot who is training for a CPL modular course, an integrated ATPL course or a pilot who already holds a CPL license.

Theoretical Course

The theoretical course is the same as the ATPL course for specific subjects, with a dispensation for some lesson hours. It is advisable, however, for pilots with a PPL license or those who have attended a CPL or APTL course for more than 5 years, to repeat all the ATPL theory lessons in order to be better prepared (at no further cost).... Privileges

With the Commercial Pilot License for helicopter, you’ll be able to carry out aerial work, public passenger transport, training flights and rescue operations as a professional pilot. The modular course (step by step) allows you to get the professional license approaching from the private license. Every step can be planned in different periods, in the way to build your own course.

To obtain aeronautical licenses, you must not have criminal records, nor criminal proceedings pending.

To apply for a CPL course, you must show basic knowledge of mathematics and physics and a good awareness of the English language which will be tested through an entry exam before enrolment, PPL License and 150 hours of flight minimum.... [-]

Privileges

With the Private Pilot License you’ll be able to pilot helicopters for tourism.

Pre-requisites

To obtain aeronautical licenses, you must not have criminal records, nor criminal proceeding pending.

Even though the medical examination (2^ class certification) is not required by law in order to start the course, we highly recommend our students to perform it: the validity is five years for pilots under 40 and two years for pilots over 40. You may contact for free the planning office to book the medical, which must be taken in an Aeromedical Center (see the General Information page).

It is necessary to be 16 years old for the first solo flight and 17 for the final skill test.... [-]

With the Commercial Pilot License for helicopter, you’ll be able to carry out aerial work, public passenger transport, training flights and rescue operations as a professional pilot. The integrated course permits the student to enter directly in the professional world of helicopters, without any aviation pre-requisite.

PPL (A) - Private pilot licence DESCRIPTION

The aim of the Private Pilot PPL(A) course is to train the student pilot to fly safely and efficiently under Visual Flight Rules. To students who have successfully passed theory exams and skill test Civil Aviation Administration (CAA) provides private pilot licence. The holder of PPL licence becomes entitled to fly as pilot-in-command or co-pilot in aircrafts, which are recorded in a pilot licence.
