Academic Gap Year students are integrated with the rest of the year-long study abroad programs for coursework and activities but receive extra support from our experienced program staff.

During your time with us you will be able to experience all of Israel with fellow study abroad students during three exciting trips:

Northern Israel: visit Karmiel, on the northern edge of the beautiful Galilee; Kiryat Shmona, surrounded by beautiful green expanses; and the Kinneret, where you can melt in the hot springs.

During the summer, two consecutive Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) courses are offered: Arabic I and Arabic II. Students can enroll in just one or in both courses. These courses teach students the Arabic alphabet and the basics of MSA, the lingua franca of the Arab world, used in written communication, literature and all formal and religious contexts.
