Diplôme De Cuisine
Overview
Successful completion of the Basic, Intermediate and Superior Cuisine certificates results in the award of the Diplôme de Cuisine. You will learn to master the necessary skills to create fine cuisine dishes through a combination of demonstrations, practical sessions and theory lessons, gaining knowledge from our classically trained chefs who have experience working in senior positions in the world’s finest kitchens and Michelin starred restaurants.
Our cuisine chefs lead demonstrations to show you how to produce dishes to the highest professional standard. You are then tasked with replicating what you have been shown in one of our dedicated cuisine practical kitchens.
4 intakes per year: January, April, July, September

Duration: 9 Months (3x 10-week certificates in Basic, Intermediate & Superior Cuisine)
Price: NZD $35,500/per year
Fees Include: 2x uniforms (jacket, trousers, hat, necktie), ZWILLING Knife Tool Kit, All Ingredients, Course Materials, Exams, Graduation
Hours per week: Approximately 25-30 hours
Entry Requirements: IELTS 5.0 Basic Cuisine, IELTS 5.5 Intermediate and Superior Cuisine with no band lower than 5.0 for all courses. 16 years old (no upper age limit)

Course Structure
Classes are taught across 3 - 5 days a week. Each day begins with 2.5 – 3 hours of observation in our state-of-the-art demonstration lecture theatre, followed by 3 – 4 hours of practical work in the specialized cuisine kitchens and 2 hours of self-directed theory, for approximately 24 hours per week study time.

How to Apply
1. If you are interested in studying with us, please prepare the below document and email them to enrol@cordonbleu.edu
i. Completed and signed application/enrolment form, Download Here
ii. Certified copy of your passport or birth certificate
iii. English proficiency result if English is not your first language (we can organize internal English test for you with our English Language Partner schools if you have not yet taken an International English test, this only applies to students that are already in New Zealand)
2. We will assess your application and if you are accepted we will send you an "Offer of Place” (This includes Payment Details) and our "Term and Conditions"
3. Upon receiving our offer Pack documents, please make tuition fees paid to secure your place of study.
4. We will issue you an official receipt once we have received your fee payment. You will need to use the receipt and "offer of place" to apply for a student visa at your local New Zealand Embassy or High Commission.
5. Book your trip, accommodation and purchase medical and travel insurance.
6. You will receive a “Pre-departure Pack” closer to the course start date which provides you with details regarding orientation.
Important information about New Zealand Visa
If your course is less than 12 weeks long, you will only need a visitor visa to come to New Zealand. If you plan to study for more than 12 weeks you’ll need to apply for a student visa.
