Note: In order to graduate from the degree program in four years, summer courses may be required.
*Math placement will be determined by the score achieved on a Department of Mathematics placement test. Students who place below MTH 132 Pre-Calculus will be required to substitute some Pathway courses, which may extend the time necessary to complete the program.
What are the progression requirements?
After successfully completing the Pathway program, you are guaranteed to enter a second year of study. This transition to university from an INTO program is called progression. You must meet the following Marshall University Pathway Progression criteria in order to progress:
- Minimum of 2.0 GPA in Pathway program
- No I grades in a class
- Grade of C or better in all classes
Students are fully admitted to Marshall University provided they have successfully completed conditional admission criteria at the end of the Pathway program and submitted all required admission credentials.
Does this program lead to further study?
Upon successful completion of the Undergraduate Engineering Pathway program, you will be ready to start your second year in either:
- Marshall's bachelor's degree in engineering, civil emphasis
- Marshall's bachelor's degree in engineering, mechanical emphasis
