A Pathway program provides academic, language and cultural support in order to succeed at a US university. Students are guaranteed progression to an undergraduate degree program through curriculum consisting of credit-earning courses. We provide full integration with domestic and international students on campus from highly trained university instructors and tutors while giving you academic support throughout the program.

Our new 3-Semester Pathway program is designed specially for international students who want to start earning credits toward their bachelor's degree at a US university. This program offers more focus on English language preparation than our other Pathway programs. The chart below is a sample course schedule for the first term of the 3-Semester Pathway program.

What are the progression requirements?

After successfully completing the Pathway program, you are guaranteed to enter your next semester of study. This transition to university from an INTO program is called progression. You must meet the following University of South Florida Pathway Progression criteria in order to progress:

• 2.5+ USF GPA
• No “U” grade in a class
• No “W” or “I” grade in a class
• Grade of “C” or better in all classes
• You are fully admitted to USF provided successful completion of provisional admission criteria at the end of the Pathway
• SAT or ACT on record but no minimum scores required

Age: No minimum age, but must have proof of high school graduation

Academic: High school diploma with equivalent of 2.5+ GPA

3-Semester Pathway: TOEFL iBT 50 (10 subscores), IELTS 5.0 (4.5 subscores), PTEA 41+ or Password Test Level 5

2-Semester Pathway: TOEFL iBT 60-78, IELTS 5.5-6.0, PTEA 44-52, completion of Academic English Level 4 or Password Test Level 6

1-Semester Pathway: TOEFL iBT 79+, IELTS 6.5+, PTEA 53+
