Introduction
This University Parallel Program provides the first and second-year foundations for successful transfer towards a baccalaureate degree at a four-year college or university. Students should select specialized courses that align with their intended program of study at their identified transfer institution. Students are encouraged to meet with a transfer counselor to effectively design a plan for a successful transfer into a program/discipline at a four-year institution.
Upon successful completion of the program, the graduate will:
- Demonstrate written and oral communication skills necessary for the transition to a four-year institution.
- Complete academic tasks using digital technology, applications, and collaboration tools relevant to their program or discipline.
- Describe the scope of their chosen major field and its core theories and practices using appropriate terminology.
- Analyze data using sound mathematical/scientific concepts.
- Explain how diverse perspectives affect interpretations of issues in politics, society, and human relationships.
- Acquire and evaluate information through technological and traditional means as relevant to their chosen major field of concentration.
