Introduction
About
Foundation Art & Design is an intensive one-year course designed for students who wish to enter British Baccalaureate courses but do not have the corresponding professional training and/or work experience in art and design. Classes give a broad scope of art and design and its many forms and the need for students to explore the available options before really understanding what their strongest points are. If the student does not have a portfolio or creation techniques, we recommend the Pre-Foundation course.
The course acts as a boost to successful careers within the creative sectors, helping students to steer their path, developing the most important skills needed to fully emerge during specific British Bachelor courses. In partnership with Cultura Inglesa, EBAC also offers English classes as part of the student's training.
program objectives
The course was constructed in three distinct parts for the student's development: research, consolidation and project. Students familiarize themselves with all aspects of the contemporary designer's work, to define the future degree course and build their portfolio, necessary for admission to the British Bachelor's degree course. Successful completion of Foundation Art & Design guarantees admission to the British Bachelor's degree course.

Course structure
PART 1 - RESEARCH AND EXPLORATION
Immersion of students in creative activities, during which they attend relevant and practical workshops, develop key practical skills such as drawing, generating ideas, research and problem solving. Structural projects allow students to experiment with a wide spectrum of creative activities. Students are introduced to different disciplines and creative avenues and develop clarity among the possible choices of further studies available to them.
PART 2 - CONSOLIDATION
Students choose a specific path - a specialty - and prepare to proceed to British Bachelor courses. Students must exhibit a more serious attitude towards learning their chosen creative path. They complete a specific creative project, in which they develop essential technical and research skills, as well as produce a high quality portfolio of work, which prepares them to successfully pursue British BA courses.
PART 3 - PROJECT
Students put into practice all the acquired learning, carrying out a final project specific to their field of interest. With the help of teachers in their field of interest, students are challenged to propose and carry out research at British Baccalaureate level, resulting in a high quality project that will be publicly displayed at the school. At the end of this stage, students develop a sophisticated understanding of their field, hone their ability to research, problem solve, plan, organise, analyze and practice as an undergraduate, making a successful transition to their hometown British Bachelor's degree course. choice.
