Introduction
DEPARTMENT OF AGREGATION OF SECONDARY EDUCATION OF THE SUPERIOR DEGREE
Attached to the Faculty of Philosophy, the Department of Aggregation of upper secondary education is inter-faculty. It aims at the theoretical and practical training of teachers of secondary education who hold the diploma of license issued by any faculty existing within the UCC.
This interdisciplinary department is one of the privileged tools for the effective training and transmission of a youth education with moral and spiritual values according to the Christian vision.
It is also at the service of the existing faculties and is intended to provide the graduates who so desire with the pedagogy of the transmission necessary for their future teaching profession, according to the Christian vision of an integral education.
It aims at molding a graduate, a future Christian educator, who is: dignified and well-trained in the principles and pedagogical practice impregnated by the Christian faith and enlightened by the confirmed achievements of the sciences of education; Develop the person of the student; - has, in addition to disciplinary competence (knowledge of the subject), didactic competence (pedagogical communication and evaluation materials and techniques, methodological qualities, record keeping) Teaching by assisting with model lessons and giving lessons in learning, all under the supervision of experienced teachers.
Students enrolled in the upper secondary school aggregation program normally present examinations at the end of the second year of the program. They are strongly advised to follow the general courses of the program from the first year of the license.
