Moraine Valley Community College is a comprehensive, public two-year institution located in a suburban community 23 km from the city center of Chicago, the 3rd largest US city. Moraine Valley enrolls 16,000 students with over 300 international students. Our modern campus includes 13 buildings with modern high-tech classrooms, technology center, fine arts center, outstanding science facilities, library, student success center, cafeteria, fitness and sports center, outdoor nature areas and more.

Over 100 academic programs are offered. Our University Transfer programs provide the first two years of coursework which allows students to transfer to great universities throughout the U.S. to complete the bachelor degree. Almost any academic major can begin at Moraine Valley, and students benefit from university transfer agreements to excellent universities. The College also offers two-year Career degree programs in popular fields such as Culinary Arts Restaurant Management, Digital Art and Design, Internet Security, Management Information Systems and more. The Intensive English Language Program (IEL) enables students to enter at any level of English and make direct progress into the degree programs quickly.

TOEFL is not required to apply. All students are tested in English during orientation to determine the best placement in English or degree classes. If a student has English test results, a TOEFL iBT score of 71 or IELTS 5.5 can be used to waive the on-campus test and gain direct placement in the degree program.

The Office of International Student Affairs provides airport pick-up, guaranteed housing in the Host Home Program, orientation week, and cultural activities with trips, parties, events. International Student Ambassadors to help students gain leadership experience. Students have access to excellent one-to-one advising services throughout their stay, and get the advice they need for academic and cultural adjustment. Moraine Valley is a great location for international students to achieve their goals. Students can focus on studies in a beautiful safe campus environment, while having access to the resources of a big city nearby. Moraine Valley Community College welcomes international students!

Our reasonable tuition and fees are approximately $12,000 for an academic year. The total cost for all expenses including housing, insurance, books, meals, transportation, etc. is less than $23,000 annually.
